HI! My name is Katie. I am the blonde dog behind Blonde Dog Greetings. The idea for Blonde Dog Greetings came from my mom. Her name is Tracy Bennett.
She is a Professional Pet Sitter. Late last year she was trying to come up with ideas for Christmas cards for her clients. During the process she got to thinking that while there are more & more pet greeting cards today (which I think is a good thing) there are not many that are specific to pet professionals. So she has set out to change that. To start off, she is focusing on areas she knows best - Pet Sitters and cats & dogs. Her idea is to expand to include cards for all pet professionals as well as other pet species. After all there are other pets one can share their life with other than just cats & dogs. There are birds, fish, horses, pigs, reptiles to name a few.
But enough about her. After all, it really is all about me. My story is not an unfamiliar one. I was taken off the streets when I was about 12 weeks old. I was quite thin and loaded down with ticks. I was a mess! Then it was discovered that I had parvo. After a week of treatment I was still struggling with the disease. The subject of euthanasia started being discussed but thankfully the decision was made to not give up on me as long as I didn't give up on myself. I kept fighting and I finally won the battle against that nasty virus! Not only did I get better but I also found myself a new home and a new family. I haven't been able to overcome all the fears I developed while out of the streets but I do live a nice comfortable life. I love playing with my toys, going for walks and my favorite past time while out on my walks is looking for cats. I just love cats.
My mom is the president of Blonde Dog Pet Services, LLC. She is a Professional Pet Sitter in Arlington, Texas. She lives with me and our cats, Murphy and Jake.
